my top 10 blog posts of 2017

Hi loves,

Before I start this post, in order to avoid confusion I’m going to be talking about my top 10 favourite blog posts that I myself have written (and posted) this year, I just couldn’t think of a way to word it properly for the title! I thought this would be a good idea since 2017 was the year I started this blog, therefore I thought it was only right to have a little recap of the things I’ve posted and the meanings behind them. These are also in a random order since I’m just writing them as I see fit, so I hope you enjoy!

Body Confidence

The first thing I ever posted on this blog! It wasn’t the first thing I’d written, I actually used to own a blog with my friend that we kind of gradually stopped using (I think I’ve told you guys that before) and this was one of the things that I’d posted on there, but I thought it was too important not to re-post it on this blog, therefore body confidence became my first post. It’s one of my favourites because I always like to go back and re-read it when I’m not feeling so great about myself, and I also don’t think a lot of you guys have seen / read it since it was posted such a long time ago now and I basically had no followers when I first started, so here you go!

Home is a foreign concept to me and I think in a way it always has been. This one took a lot of courage to post and it was the first thing I’d shared where I spoke in depth about my best friend, who you guys seem to love hearing about and for that I’m eternally grateful because I could talk about every day forever – I’m going to. Here, I also share a journal excerpt I wrote in January of this year when the air was icy cold but the sky was clear blue and the sunlight was shining over everything and I was in this thoughtful, hazy dream just wandering along through my mind. Here is home.

Finding Friends and Being Alone

Another one that took a bit of courage for me to post, here I talk about not always finding people that you can connect with sometimes – I had so many wonderful things I wanted to do yet no one to do them with, and this was just my way of expressing my feelings towards that but also letting myself know that it’s okay to be alone sometimes, and being in your own company is not a bad thing.

you are so gracefully insane

A journal excerpt I wrote about creativity and being the person you wanted to be before the world told you it wasn’t enough. This one is short but sweet, and I think we could all do with the little reminder sometimes.

A little note about self love

This is a more recent post so I think most of you have have already seen it, but I wanted to include it here anyway because it’s one of my favourites that I’ve written. I’d basically just had this big realisation and woke up one morning wondering why the hell I was letting things affect me that I could literally just cut out of my life at any moment – I was the one in control of my own life and I was going to make sure I put myself first to ensure I was the happiest that I could be wherever possible. Here’s to self love!

People that will inspire you to be yourself

Needing some inspiration but not sure where to turn to? Look no further! Here I listed some of my favourite girlies that inspire me to be the best version of myself possible, I will literally preach them forever!! These are the people that inspire me most and the ones that make me wanna be this crazy creative whirlwind who lets nobody ever get in her way. I hope they’ll inspire you just as much as they inspire me xxx

Inner Happiness

Here I talk about inner happiness and what that actually means to me – I learned to stop using the future to escape the present and to just be in the present moment, and to be happy now rather than ‘in the future’ when everything will have suddenly worked out for me and all of my problems will have disappeared. It’s also a note to self that other people / things cannot and will not fix things for you, which is a big talk I needed to have with myself and a realisation I’m glad I finally came to understand.

I got my fourth tattoo! ⚡️

That’s right kiddos, I got my fourth tattoo and I decided to write about it. Again, this is a more recent post so I think most of you guys will have already seen it, but it’s one of my favourites. A lot of you were asking for it and I originally wasn’t going to make a post on it because I didn’t think I’d have enough to say, though I realise now that maybe it was because I couldn’t quite bring myself to do it. However, I opened up a blank page and the words just spilled out, so here we are – my fourth tattoo.

Don’t stay in the box they put you in

Another one of my more recent posts, this one is basically a kick ass girl power post where I basically tell you guys to fuck whatever anyone else thinks of you and just be whoever the hell you want to be. Don’t you dare ever stay in the box they put you in!! This was also a big note to self on my part because these are the words I need to hear often when I’m not feeling as confident as I need to be, so go out there & show ’em all who’s boss.

Finding your own identity

Last but not least, my most recent post out of all of the ones mentioned – finding your own identity. I wrote this recently because I feel like lately I’m flourishing with self love and returning to the person that I used to be, so I thought why not write about it! This is a dreamy post for me and one that I smile when reading because I’m happy it’s so positive, I’m very glad I wrote it!

And there we have it loves, my top 10 favourite blog posts that I’ve written in 2017. If you’ve ever read / liked / commented on any of these then I just want you to know how much I appreciate it because your support honestly means everything, and I’m so grateful that people like my words enough to actually want to read them. If there are any other topics or things you’d like me to write about then please let me know and I’d be happy to write my take on them for you guys. ♡

All my love,

Chloe .xx

  3. I love both the idea of this blog post and the actual blog post; all my favourites of yours were on here (although, when is a post of yours never a favourite?) and you’ve produced so much inspiring and creative content this year – I’m so excited to see what you create next year!xxx
