Music of the Month – January

Hi loves,

My music this month is literally all over the place, I feel like I’ve been randomly throwing songs into this post and I’m not quite sure how they got there. Basically, my music this month is a mess but anyway, let’s get into it…

boy – willow

A gorgeous song that I can’t believe I haven’t talked about before, it’s been out for ages but I wanted to include it because it needs all the recognition it deserves, the lyrics are so beautiful I literally just want to write them down everywhere. Willow Smith is a queen in her own right.

hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have – but i have it – lana del rey

The love of my life keeps releasing one beautiful song after another and this is no exception, she’s so magical. I can’t believe my favourite lady wrote a song about another one of my favourite ladies. We’re all connected I swear. Her mind.

7 rings – ariana grande

I can’t lie, I had to listen to this a couple of times before I started to catch onto it but nonetheless it’s still a bop and of course, I wasn’t gonna make a music post without talking about the queen herself, right?

undecided – chris brown

Bop bop bop bop. Chris Brown has been sampling a lot of older songs lately and this time he sampled one of my favourite songs from the 90s so instantly I was hooked. This is so catchy it’s crazy.

blind – prettymuch

You know the deal. They’re back at it again. They’ve done it. PM can’t make a bad song, fact.

rewrite the stars – the greatest showman (zac efron, zendaya)

I finally watched The Greatest Showman this month !! THREE TIMES. Within the space of about 2 days. I’m absolutely hooked.

come alive – the greatest showman

Probably my favourite from the whole soundtrack, what a song.

a million dreams – the greatest showman

Every time I listen to this I start crying like a baby because I literally cannot get over how beautiful it is, it makes me so happy. It’s the most uplifting, wonderful song, I’m getting teary just thinking about it.

sincerity is scary – the 1975

I revisited A Brief Enquiry Into Online Relationships this month and have had these on repeat since.

it’s not living (if it’s not with you) – the 1975

Probably one of my favourites from the album, listening to Matty depict each line and explain what it all means made me fall in love with it even more.

i couldn’t be more in love – the 1975

Again, listening to Matty talk about this song just made me like it even more. It’s so beautiful.

ribbon in the sky – stevie wonder

This is a special one I’ve been listening to and reminiscing with lately. A special person introduced it to me, I hope they know how great they were.

Korean Section

And now for the section none of you care about but it’s actually my favourite part of the post – enjoy writing this Chlo.

think about it – GOT7

GOT7 in my opinion are completely underrated and so I’ll shout about them until I cannot shout anymore. You’re welcome.

trauma – seventeen

This song came out in 2017 but my dumbass never realised it was on Spotify until literally this month – I’ve searched for it so many times and could I find it ??? I feel like Spotify is deliberately messing with me. Probably the illuminati confirmed. Anyway, this is a great song.

tempo – exo

I literally know nothing about EXO apart from the fact they just generally exist but I do enjoy their songs whenever I hear them and I finally got around to adding this one to my playlist (if you’re into Kpop you’ll hear it everywhere).

welcome to my playground – NCT 127

This has been stuck in my head for weeks now but I’m just here to say that I would die for NCT 127. thank u, next.

no longer – NCT 127

Rip my heart out and throw it across the floor why don’t you. WHY DON’T YOU. Every song they release gets better and better and I absolutely love this one so much.

yestoday – NCT U

Again, so catchy, it’s been in my head for weeks and I’ve had it on constant replay.

love scenario – ikon

If this isn’t the catchiest track you’ve ever heard then I don’t know what is, I literally cannot get it out of my head. It’s so good. If you’re going to do anything productive today listen to this, I promise you it’s time well spent.

who waits for love – shinee

My angels 💞 I’ve been listening to this song a lot recently because it’s so catchy and it’s one of my favourites from The Story of Light album. Angels angels angels.

Let me know if you like any of these !!

All my love,

Chloe .xx

  1. Ribbon In The Sky by Stevie Wonder is such a classic. I also like several of the Korean songs that you’ve chosen. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed listening to blind ~ prettymuch. I’m glad I found your blog and I’m looking forward to reading future posts.

  2. Such a great list! 💕 I love your music taste always. I love all the songs from The Greatest Showman. They are so good. My favourite is This is me. I also love the song A Million Dreams. It’s really beautiful 😍. I love 7 rings too but also had to listen some more times to like it. It’s different than her other songs but still so good.
