Hello my loves,
Considering I haven’t done anything Christmassy on my blog this year I thought I’d take the time to well…do it now!
I did a Christmas tag a few years ago on my blog and really enjoyed it so, I thought I’d do another one. I’ve (tried) to pick different questions this time to avoid repeating myself but if you’d like to see my 2017 tag, click here.
Favorite Christmas Movie?
The Grinch! 100000%. That film was basically my entire childhood during Christmas. I always have vivid memories of me setting up my pink blow up chair in the living room (a Christmas gift) and sitting in my PJs watching The Grinch with my family because it was always on TV and if it wasn’t, I’d demand my parents put it on…
I haven’t watched it in a good amount of time because as you guys know, I’ve seen about 5 movies in my entire life but this year I really want to watch it again because well, after the year we’ve had I feel like I want to go Christmas crazy this year, it’s the only joyous thing we’ve got!
Have you ever had a White Christmas?
Honestly I cannot remember…maybe? When I was younger though. I can’t remember having one any time recently!
Do you start your Christmas shopping on Black Friday or wait until the last minute?
Honestly I normally am quite late with Christmas shopping – I still buy everything I want to buy but I just do it…later rather than sooner. However, this year I have been on it. I’m pretty sure I finished all my Christmas shopping in October, and as a result I’ve had an abundance of santa sacks and gift bags taking up the floor of my room, preventing me from getting pretty much anywhere. At this point I actually can’t wait for Christmas day, just so I can get everything out of my room because it’s literally ridiculous the amount of stuff I’ve bought and therefore how much room it’s actually taking up. I need to get rid of it!
If you could be in any Christmas movie what would it be?
I enjoy the fact this questions assumes I’ve seen multiple Christmas movies…maybe Home Alone? Because New York looks so big and beautiful and just amazing at Christmas and well, I wanna be there.
Name all of Santa’s reindeer.
This is genuinely without the help of Google (I don’t even know how many reindeer there actually are ??? help) – Rudolph, Dasher, Dancer, Vixen, Comit, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen – I feel like I’ve forgotten one because I’m singing the song in my head and I can’t remember the name after Dasher…I’m sorry to whichever reindeer that is.
When does your family put up your Christmas tree and who decorates it?
Usually the first week of December sometime (the weekend) and my parents are the ones that do the whole thing. When I was younger I used to be interested in helping put the decorations on but I was never really much help as my Mum likes everything to be perfect so I always felt like I was just getting in the way, so now I just let them do it.
Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
Fake! I understand the appeal of real Christmas trees but I couldn’t cope with one myself, having to buy one every year, getting it into your house, waiting for the branches to drop…all the needle mess everywhere…not for me!
Peeking at gifts or be surprised?
I love this question! I won’t go out of my way to peek at gifts because I don’t like ruining the surprise for myself but if I can see something poking out the corner of a bag or feel it and give it a little shake in the parcel…I may be inclined to do that.
If you could be under the mistletoe with anyone who would it be?
I only know one man.
Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?
You would think that with age my present-wrapping skills would get better but if anything, I think they’ve actually gotten worse. I would love to be able to neatly wrap presents, adding on the bits of strings and bows etc. and making them all look pretty…but any presents wrapped by me look like they’ve been wrapped by a 5 year old. It took me at least 20 minutes to wrap a pack of socks the other day. 20 MINUTES. Life is stressful enough without me crying over being unable to wrap presents. I couldn’t even wrap a box.
And there we have it loves! Do you have any Christmas traditions? What are your favourite Christmas movies?? Let me know!!
All my love,
